Shots fired during Redbank home invasion

A IPSWICH home has been declared a crime scene after an apparent home invasion at Redbank overnight.

Police were called to the Spencer St address around 8pm following reports of a disturbance and shots having been fired.

It is understood two men went the residence and became involved in a verbal argument with the occupants of the home.

A fight broke out resulting in several people sustaining minor injuries.

These people have not made complaints to police in relation to this incident.

A firearm was fired into ceiling. No one was injured as a result of the discharge and the two men fled from the house.

Scientific officers will begin their investigations this morning.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
