Shots fired from moving car on busy Caboolture road

POLICE have appealed to the community for information after a man shot what's thought to have been an air rifle at another car on Beerburrum Rd, this afternoon. 

Police say preliminary information suggests a 36-year-old man was driving his work ute north along Beerburrum Road around 1.15pm when another car swerved towards his vehicle in the right lane.

As the man travelled towards Henzell Road he changed lanes, and the same car described as a blue Ford Focus hatchback drove up beside him in the outside lane.

A man then pointed a firearm similar to an air rifle out of the window and fired a single shot as he passed before driving off along Henzell Street.

The victim heard the shot strike his vehicle however there was no significant damage. The man was shaken however uninjured as a result of the incident

The male driver of the Ford Focus is described as Caucasian in appearance with a slim build and a tattoo under his eye. The vehicle had a possible partial QLD registration of 439.
