Take the Tilt Train to the Ekka

BUNDABERG residents will be able to take the Ekka Express train direct to the Brisbane Exhibition, stepping off the Tilt Train at Exhibition station just after gates open.

Queensland Rail Travel general manager Max Kruse said the Ekka Express was a great success last year and the best way for regional showgoers to get directly to and from Queensland's largest annual event.

"The Ekka Express is the stress-free option for families to travel return from Bundaberg to the RNA showgrounds and enjoy the huge entertainment line-up that the Ekka has to offer," Mr Kruse said.

"The discounted fares are available on all weekdays throughout the duration of the show.

"Adults can purchase a return journey for $82.50 while a child's fare costs just $49.50."

The Bundaberg Tilt Train departs at 5.15am Monday-Friday, arriving in Brisbane just before 10am. The return journey leaves Brisbane at 4.55pm on weekdays and customers will arrive at Bundaberg station at 9.30pm.
