Someone actually got a tattoo of The Dress

IT WAS the internet sensation that sparked heated debates across the world: a dress that got people everywhere asking is it blue and black or white and gold?

But now one man has gone one step further and nailed his -blue and black - colours to the mast by getting a tattoo of the dress at a parlour in Austin, Texas.

Daniel Howland, 24, spent just 20 minutes getting the infamous dress inked on his leg in perpetuity.

The heavily tattooed Mr Howland initially saw the dress as white and gold, but now sees it as exclusively as black and blue.

"It was one internet thing that I really couldn't wrap my brain around. It was very frustrating. Because of this, I thought it would be fun to get the dress tattooed on my leg," he told the Mail Online.

"Either people really love it, or they think I'm a complete tool. Some of my friends also think I'm stupid for doing it. But my parents think it's really funny. I didn't see a reason not to have it done," he added.

This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.

The picture of the £50 dress, made by Roman Originals, led to confusion among friends and family as some people thought they saw blue and black, while others were adamant they could see white and gold.

Already available in a range of colours, the dress manufacturer is now considering making the dress in white and gold to cater for individuals on both sides of the debate.

Even science experts have got in on the debate, explaining why some people can see certain colours and not others.
