Special ed teacher on ex-student sex charge

A SPECIAL-EDUCATION teacher who allegedly had a sexual relationship with an ex-student and accessed images of semi-nude women wearing school uniforms has been suspended.

The Queensland teacher had taught at the special education school for six years before he was suspended in July. He is yet to face disciplinary proceedings, the Courier Mail reports.

Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal heard allegations that the teacher began a sexual relationship in January, 2015, with an ex student who had graduated in 2014.

The teacher had been the girl's special education program manager in 2012.
