GOOD weather produced great outcomes in the junior rugby league competition at the weekend.

Emerald Junior Tigers president Craig Barsby said the club had a good round throughout the weekend, coming up against some tough teams in Springsure and Clermont.

"They all had a good game, played well," Barsby said. "Clermont and Springsure present quite good teams. They are strong to play against.

"There was good challenge for the ball ... all games would've been tough games."

Barsby said this was the first year the Emerald Junior Tigers had increased to two teams from under-6 to U12 after a rise in player numbers.
