JUNGLE fever has gripped most interiors and for good reason. Like many, I've added a few new plants to my living areas and as I've outlined previously here, there are some really good reasons to embrace this green trend.
Plants not only add life and colour to your interiors, they also add instant atmosphere and are proven to improve the quality of your mood and the air in your home.
But what if you're like me - an accidental murderer? It turns out that I can kill almost any plant in record-breaking time. It's so bad that a friend pointed out to me sarcastically, it's a gift.
Fortunately there are other strategies to bring the great outdoors inside for murderous people like me. For air quality, you can start by leaving as many windows and doors open as you can both safely and comfortably.
I would suggest you prioritise the windows that offer the best outdoor views. Floral printed soft furnishings are totally on-trend and can really uplift the spirits as they stylishly channel nature.
Wallpaper has made a huge comeback and with some fabulous photograph-based wallpapers now available, what's not to love when you can have a rainforest as the backdrop to your dining table, or an English garden in your bedroom?
The occasional piece of furniture or curtains chosen in colours such moss green, forest green or lime green will also evoke nature in your home, and adding vases of flowers instantly adds freshness.
Alternatively, you can always fake it with plants. I have a few quality fake plants and while they certainly add colour, I would never suggest they are as good as the real thing.
