Sunflower entrants sashed up and ready to reign

THE sparkle in the Central Highlands Sunflower Queen's crown hasn't lost its shine with a boost in entrant numbers from previous years.
Entrant co-ordinator Isobel Hetherington said the quest for the Central Highlands Sunflower queen and princess has a total of eight entrants this year, three vying for queen and five running for princess.
"It's the most entrants in quite a few years," Isobel said.
"It's great to see that."
Isobel said the quest was a great way to build confidence in young ladies who raise money for their chosen charity.
Entries for this year's quest have closed as the entrant took part in their first official duty, receiving their sashes on Saturday.
