Coast's ice queen 'dominated', made $3.2M in six months

A SUNSHINE Coast ice queen made about $3.2m selling 107 ounces of the drug during her six month reign on the Sunshine Coast.

Rebecca Teresa Castner was jailed for 10 years this morning.

She pleaded guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court to nine drug trafficking and possession charges.

Justice Helen Bowskill did not assign a parole eligibility date but Castner can apply for release after serving 80% of the sentence.

Castner ran her drug empire from a house in Buderim between January and July of 2015.

She paid her employees in free rent and drugs and even supplied two of her children with drugs so they could operate their own trafficking operations, Justice Bowskill said.

"Your conduct was clearly done by someone in power, you were clearly dominating others and clearly enjoying it," Justice Bowskill said.

"All of your employees have been sentenced for their role in this business.

"It's fair to say their conduct was much lesser than yours."

About 163 days were taken off the sentence for time served.
