Sunshine Motorway cleared after semi-trailer jackknifes
UPDATE 2PM:
TRAFFIC is flowing again on the Sunshine Motorway after a semi-trailer crash at Peregian earlier this afternoon.
The semi-trailer jackknifed just before lunchtime, causing traffic to bank up in the southbound lanes.
The vehicle has been cleared from the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were not required.
EARLIER:
POLICE are closing the Sunshine Motorway after a semi trailer jackknifed just before lunchtime.
The truck is blocking the Peregian Springs roundabout after the semi-trailer in the southbound lane jackknifed.
Tow trucks are on scene and police are directing traffic.
An officer told The Daily the roundabout would be closed for a short time to allow tow trucks to remove the semi-trailer from the tricky situation.
Traffic is still flowing at this stage.
