Supercars dazzles racing fans

RACING fans had a small taste of what it is like in the hot seat. The racing hot seat, that is.

The Ford Performance racing team display made a highly anticipated stop in Emerald last week - much to the delight of local racing fans.

The team stopped at Emerald Steel & Stuff to showcase just a fraction of its multi-million-dollar procession of Supercars and equipment.

The Ford V8 Supercar was meticulously unloaded from the tightly packed truck as Ford fans oohed and aahed in envy.

Emerald was just one of the many stops along the way to the Townsville 400 at the weekend, where Craig Lowndes celebrated his 200th V8 Supercar race.
