Royal mum’s fury as princess has meltdown

SOMETIMES it seems as though royals have it all - the money, the beautiful clothes, the sprawling mansions and the adorable kids.

But today there is some comforting news for parents whose children have had embarrassing public meltdowns.

Despite their immense privilege and access to domestic help, royal parents are also beholden to the ridiculous whims of their young children.

Sweden's Princess Madeline was trying to just have a nice family outing at her new baby's christening at Drottningholm Palace Chapel in Stockholm.

She popped on a nice frock, had her hair and makeup done and even wore a floral headband, in an attempt to show the world that yes, she absolutely has nailed this three kids thing and isn't about to have a nervous breakdown at all.

But just as Archbishop Antje Jackelén was rambling on about baptising little Princess Adrienne, her sister Princess Leonore realised she was super bored.

Princess Leonore refused to sit quietly and instead began to roll around on the floor, in front of all the guests and a massive camera crew, who filmed the whole thing and broadcast it around the world.

Princess Madeline, who had her hands full with Princess Adrienne, tried to keep calm and use lots of very aggressive eye contact to convince Princess Leonore to get her sh*t together immediately.

But because she is a child, Princess Leonore did not pay any attention at all and continued to flash her undies to the cameras.

Meanwhile, Princess Madeline's husband Christopher O'Neil, did absolutely nothing to help. He just sat there. Useless.

Many parents shared their empathy for Princess Madeline on social media.

"Royal or not KIDS ARE ALL THE SAME … and being an embarrassed parent!! So universal," one person wrote.

"That poor mum, I can feel her blood boiling! Lol" another said.

Others were less sympathetic and said a royal child should know how to behave in public.

"What the hell is wrong with the father? Pick your kid up. She is old enough to know better and loves doing this all the time. Why because her gormless father just sits there. Trouble ahead with this fam," one commenter wrote.

"I don't understand why they allow her to behave this bad. Of course, she is just a child, but acting this way is not acceptable," another said.

After the christening the family posed for some happy snaps outside the chapel. Again, Princess Leonore did not cooperate and look at the camera.

Sigh. Better luck next time.
