Teen driver crashes into power pole

A TEENAGE driver who crashed into a pole on Saturday afternoon has escaped with minor injuries.

The 16-year-old was driving along Colamba St about 2pm when the crash happened.

The learner driver suffered minor cuts and abrasions.

There were reportedly no other people in the vehicle.

Paramedics took her to Chinchilla Hospital in a stable condition and she was later discharged.

Police are investigating.

Ergon Energy was called to the scene and replaced the power pole.

Two properties were briefly without power while crews fixed the pole.
