Temperatures drop lower than expected in CQ overnight

TEMPERATURES dropped across Central Queensland overnight - some a little lower than forecast.

One resident in Thangool checked the temperature gauge at 4.53am this morning and instead of the 7 degree forecast, they found it was 3.8 degrees.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology website, the Biloela/Thangool area was, not surprisingly, the coldest part of Central Queensland this morning.

The overnight low temperature for Biloela was 3.

Meanwhile, Rockhampton's overnight low temperature of 11.2 was lower than what one Gracemere reader found -  12 degrees at their place overnight.

BOM's official overnight minimum for Rockhampton was 11.2.

Other overnight minimum's across the region include:

  • Gladstone - 14.7
  • Gladstone Airport - 12.8
  • Rosslyn Bay Harbour - 17.8
  • St Lawrence - 14.9
  • Samuel Hill - 12.6
  • Yeppoon - 15.2
  • Blackwater Airport - 8.8
  • Clermont Airport - 3.7
  • Emerald - 7.9
  • Moranbah Airport - 7.1
