THE team at Central Therapy are feeling pretty chuffed with themselves, after being named as a finalist in Q-COMP's Return to Work Awards.
The Return to Work Awards is the only event in Queensland that celebrates the achievements of injured workers who get back to work, along with the employers, case managers, rehabilitation and return to work co-ordinators and health providers who work tirelessly to help them reach their goals.
Central Therapy owner Doug Jones said the team had been recognised for their commitment to getting people back to work after workplace injuries.
"We're thrilled to be nominated for the award, and we're thrilled to be selected as one in five in the statewide awards," he said.
Doug said the nomination provided the staff at Central Therapy some recognition for their hard work to help injured workers return to work in a safe and sustainable way.
"I'm really proud of the way our team goes the extra mile... because their efforts help workers achieve the best possible outcome they can," he said.
Central Therapy has been operating in Emerald since 2006 and Doug said he would be "delighted" to take out the final award in Brisbane at the end of the month.
Q-COMP CEO Elizabeth Woods said Central Therapy's commitment to its clients made the staff stand out for the judges.
"The awards celebrate the journey towards a strong return to work culture in Queensland, and I've been amazed by the truly inspirational entries we've received this year," Ms Woods said.
"Central Therapy... show so much dedication and innovation in getting injured workers back to work."
