Pam's heartache for missing Minerva pups
FOR more than a week, Pamela White has been tirelessly searching for her two Labradors after they disappeared from her Minerva property.
The beloved pooches Jack and Molly are like children to Pamela and her partner Darren and they have searched high and low to find them.
"We live between Emerald and Springsure on a property - they do break off their chain and we do get quite worried, but they always come back," Pamela said.
"I take responsibility for the fact that the dogs may have gotten off, but I just want them back home."
Pamela has put up posters all over the Central Highlands and on various Facebook sites.
"I know that it is not going to be dog fighting, and I don't believe puppy milling happens a lot around here," she said.
"I would prefer to know that something has happened to them or even if anyone has seen them.
"I feel awful because I don't have children, and they have been our babies. And you don't give up on children, so I am not going to give up on them."
Sally Hutley, from CQ Pet Rescue is concerned about the rise in the number of missing pets. She said owners should lock up their pets as best they could, at night.
"I think it is wrong. Thieves may be taking a child's best friend or someone's lifelong companion," she said.
