TARA Police have seized approximately 70 cannabis plants from a Tara property after conducting a raid late yesterday afternoon.
Police executed a search warrant just prior to 6pm of a Golden Glow Road property outside Tara after they received information from Crimestoppers, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.
"Police located 70 cannabis plants that were spread across a 30 acre property," the spokesperson said.
A 58 year old Tara man was subsequently charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and given notice to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court.
Tara Police posted news of the drug raid to their Facebook page the morning following the incident, along with photographs of the seized plants.
"Over 60 large cannabis plants have been seized in Tara after police received information yesterday from Crimestoppers," Tara Police posted.
"Thanks to the people in our community who continue to help us to police our community.
"A Tara man was charged with supply a dangerous drug, produce a dangerous drug and other drug related offences and will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court."
The Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the suspect will also possibly be charged with intent to sell the drug after police located scissors, scales, clip-filled bags and other evidence to suggest plants were being packaged and sold to the public.
