Toddler airlifted in serious condition after horse kick

UPDATE: A TWO-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he was kicked by a horse at a Moy Pocket property yesterday afternoon. 

Emergency services rushed to the property after the 000 call at about 2pm. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the toddler was in a serious but stable condition when an RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter flew him to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital.

The boy's mother flew with him. 

EARLIER: A TWO-year-old boy has airlifted to hospital in Brisbane after being kicked by a horse.

The child was understood to have been kicked by the horse on a property near Gympie on Sunday afternoon.

The RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter confirmed they had flown the boy to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital and that his mother had flown with him.

However, the exact nature or extent of the child's injuries was not known.
