Toowoomba pubs shout free beer on Sunday

SHOUTING free beer at a pub is unheard of, but this weekend pub-goers are being treated to a free Sunday session.

Victoria Bitter is supplying beer to 200 watering holes across the country this Sunday, with free beer supplied for two hours.

According to the Victoria Bitter website there are four places in Toowoomba taking part in the afternoon VB sessions.

The Blue Mountain Hotel, The Federal Hotel, Highfields Tavern and The Wilsonton Hotel will all have free Victoria Bitter on offer from 2pm to 4pm.

In a post on the website it said it was their shout: "For everyone ready to get on with the job of making Australia a better place, come join us at the pub this Sunday, May 26."

"While we don't know what's coming next, we do know this.

"It's the start of another week and it's time to get back to doing what we do best: working hard.

"That's the only way we are going to push this country forward."

It is unclear how many beers will be on offer for each person.
