Top toy this Christmas is running hot out the door

THEY sold 260 games of Speak Out in just 12 days so it's no surprise Toyworld Rockhampton phones were running hot to see when their next shipment came in.

Owner of Rockhampton Toyworld Dennis Boyce said their last shipment before Christmas came in yesterday with 68 games on board.

"Everywhere in Queensland is currently sold out of Speak Out so this is the last 68 copies available in Australia," he said.

Speak Out is a new game from Hasbro which shot to popularity after being on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Basically it's a cheek retractor that changes the shape of people's mouths while they try and say different words and another person tries to guess what they are saying.

Mr Boyce said they had had massive interest in the game which made the Rocky store the largest seller of Speak Out in Australia so far.

"We were taking pre-orders previously but with the overwhelming popularity we've just had to stop it because we just can't supply everyone," he said.

"Hasbro won't have any more in the country until February; there are a few imitation games and they're selling really well as well but Hasbro Speak Out is the original."

Mr Boyce said the team at Toyworld had all given the new game a whirl with glowing reviews from them all.

"We certainly all have had a go at it here at Toyworld and had a lot of laughs and it's definitely a game everyone can have a go at," he said.
