DELAYS are building on the Pacific Motorway after a car smashed into the back of a fire truck in Rochedale South this morning.

The driver of the car has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after rear-ending a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services truck around 4.15am near exit 19 of the motorway.

The Gateway Motorway is experiencing bumper to bumper traffic until MacKenzie.
