Triple Zero games

SILLY soccer, primo pool, dodgy darts and horseshoe hurling – it could only be the Triple Zero games at the Gemfields last Saturday.

Anakie’s Sergeant Brad Cowell said the fun-filled event held at the Sapphire RSL between police, ambulance and rural firefighters, went to the ambos on the day.

“The darts were as dodgy as ever, and soccer with an NRL ball made for some interesting shots,” he said.

“The QAS started off well cheating with five members instead of four and were the only all-male team... and then went on to use a bit of sleight of hand around the pool table.

“All the teams will be keeping a close eye on them for next year with the police threatening to make a few early arrests to even things up.”
