A VEHICLE transport truck has come to rest across railway lines after leaving the Warrego Hwy.

Its 62-year-old driver sustained injuries to his lower back in the crash about 2.10pm yesterday.

Dalby police shift supervisor Senior Constable Brad Allen said the incident occurred about 10km west of Dalby.

He said the driver tried his best to keep the Kenworth truck on the road after a tyre blew.

The Tingalpa man was taken to Dalby Hospital for treatment.
