Tweed model April Harvey snaps wrists after Top Model
TWEED stunner and Australia's Next Top Model contestant April Harvey, 19, has two added fashion accessories as of late.
The model snapped both her wrists, at the same time, when she was on snowboarding holiday after exiting the show.
The Banora High graduate told News Limited before she suffered the injury she was selected from thousands of contenders to land a spot on the popular TV show.
"I had been planning the trip for ages with friends," she said.
"It was my fourth day and I was stopping really well and then I just fell backwards down onto my wrists.
"It was really stupid because the snow was soft. It was also foggy and I was saying wow are we in heaven and then it just happened."
There were plenty of fans disappointed by her departure.
Laura Borton wrote on Facebook: "You were my fave by far on the show and I'm sad that you were eliminated.
"I think it was a mistake, you should've won. Anyway, keep taking amazing photos and doing what you do best...modelling!
The show airs on Tuesdays at 7.30pm on Fox 8.
