Twin of man accused of murdering NSW teacher faces court

THE twin brother of a man charged with the rape and murder of NSW school teacher Stephanie Scott has appeared briefly in court after being extradited from South Australia last week.

Marcus Stanford, 24, who is accused of being an accessory after the fact, appeared via videolink on Wednesday in Wagga Wagga Local Court.

No application for bail was made and the case was adjourned until July 29.

His twin brother Vincent Stanford, a former cleaner at Leeton High School, has been charged with Ms Scott's rape and murder on Easter Sunday in a crime that shocked the nation.

Police allege Vincent mailed Marcus a number of Ms Scott's personal items that Marcus disposed of in an attempt to cover up the crime.
