Two alleged Finks charged over drugs, weapons

TWO people allegedly associated with the Finks motorcycle gang have been charged with drug and weapons offfences by officers from Taskforce Maxima.

Police will allege they located a quantity of drugs, a sum of cash and weapons in Mermaid Waters residence on Saturday.

The man and woman, both from Mermaid Waters, have been charged with ten counts of possess dangerous drugs; and one count each of unlawful possession of restricted drugs, possess of property suspected of being proceeds, unlawful possession of a category M weapon, and possess restricted items.

They have both been identified as participants of the Finks Criminal Motorcycle Gang (CMG).

They were expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
