EARLIER: A TWO-vehicle crash forced the closure of the Tavistock Street and Torquay Terrace intersection in Hervey Bay this evening.

The crash occurred about 5.40pm outside Hervey Bay Fire Station.

Acting station officer Michael McIntyre said it was a reminder for motorists to be fully aware of their surroundings.

"We need people to watch the roads, watch everything happening around them, drive carefully and to the conditions," he said.

The condition of those involved is currently not known.
