Two more weeks to sign up for land valuation emails

TIME is running out for regional residents to receive their land valuation notices by email.

Landowners have until 5pm on Friday, January 23 to sign up for the email service.

Local government areas that will receive land valuations include Gladstone, Ipswich, Livingstone, Mackay, Rockhampton, South Burnett, Southern Downs, Sunshine Coast and Western Downs.

More than one million properties will receive new valuations in March.

"Receiving valuation notices by email saves paper, gives landowners instant, secure and confidential access to their valuation notice and the PDF version is easy to print and file," Queensland Valuer-General Neil Bray said.

"Providing the option to receive land valuation notices electronically is part of a 21st century approach to providing access to more information about land valuations."

Mr Bray said the department's Land Valuations Globe gave owners access to data including a representation of their annual valuation if their property was valued in 2014.

"Searches can be undertaken using the property identification number or real property description, users can also pan the map to areas of interest then zoom in and click on a property to view information," he said.
