UPDATE 4:10pm: A QUEENSLAND Ambulance spokesperson confirmed a 70-year-old woman was transported in a stable condition to Mackay Base Hospital with shoulder and leg injuries.

The spokesperson said no one else was treated.

INITIAL: TWO vehicles were involved in a crash on Bruce Highway at the intersection of Music St in Carmila.

Emergency services received a call at 3pm and one vehicle involved was reported as having significant damage.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said two crews were dispatched, but recalled once police said their services weren't needed.

The spokesperson said they had been advised no people were trapped in the vehicles.

The southbound lane was blocked and it's unknown if it has reopened yet.

It is unknown at this stage if anyone has been injured in the crash.
