DISASTER Hero medal recipient Jane Williams co-ordinated the rescue of many locals in Jericho but she has a special place in her heart for Colin and Daphne Moseley.

Last Boxing Day, with the waters of Jericho Creek rising fast, Jane was concerned when Colin and Daphne did not answer their phone.

She sent rescuers to investigate.

The pair was evacuated to the town hall as water had washed into the home and cut power.

At the town hall, Jane noticed that Daphne's blood pressure was high so she organised a helicopter to transport her to Alpha Hospital.
