United survives scare to book Gunners clash

TITLE-holder Arsenal will travel to Manchester United for a blockbuster FA Cup quarter-final early next month.

United confirmed its place in the final eight after coming from behind to beat League One side Preston 3-1 yesterday.

After neither side was able to open their scoring in the first half, Scott Laird gave the third-tier outfit the early lead after the break.

However, goals from Ander Herrera (pictured) and Marouane Fellaini had the Premier League heavyweight breathing a sigh of relief, before a Wayne Rooney penalty iced the game.

United manager Louis van Gaal said he "was reasonably satisfied" with the result, but added "we showed an unbelievable team spirit after the Preston goal".

Scheduled for the weekend of March 7-8, the quarters will also see Liverpool host Blackburn, League One's Bradford City host Championship's Reading, and Aston Villa host West Brom.
