CHEERED on by a restaurant full of diners, Ben Bryne dropped to one knee and proposed to his partner of nine years Nicole Muxlow at Hogs Breathe Cafe on Thursday night.

The Rockhampton romantic was the lucky winner of SeaFM Central Queensland's Valentines Day promotion which gave one lucky listener the chance to propose to the love of their life with a ring, flowers, teddy bear and planned proposal provided.

Now happily engaged to Nicole, Ben, who wore the Hogs Breathe Hogster costume during the proposal, said he had no chance of topping the gesture tonight.

"I definitely won't be able to top it for Valentine's Day, we'll just have a nice dinner at home I think," Ben said.

"I wasn't too nervous about the proposal, I was more scared Nicole was going to take it the wrong way and think I was being cheap but she thought it was pretty funny."
