1.28pm: A POLICE diving team from Brisbane is expected to arrive at Dennison Creek at Oxford Downs Sarina Road, near Nebo, early tomorrow morning to search for a vehicle that was swept away in floodwaters.
Sergeant Tim Henderson, who is in charge of the search and rescue, said it was believed the vehicle drove around other cars waiting for flooding at Dennison Creek to subside and was then swept away when it attempted to cross.
Police and Emergency workers have not been able to locate the vehicle or its driver.
RACQ-CQ Rescue helicopter and a swift water rescue craft were called to the scene to help with the search.
The crossing, about 16km from Nebo, is 80m wide where it is swollen by floodwaters.
The incident follows the death of Alan Kane, 81, who was driving across a causeway on Upper Ulam Road last Friday when his ute slid off the road into Station Creek.
His death was the second in two weeks after Sydney's Kay Joy, 55, drowned when her four-wheel-drive was swept into a flooded creek near Dysart.
