Warne in a spin over burnt hand


IF YOU can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Wise word that were not adhered to by Shane Warne after the spin king reportedly badly burnt his hand in a cooking accident.

Warne posted a photo of his raw and blistered hand on Twitter, asking his followers if they had any advice on how to heal the wounds as quickly as possible.

"Not ideal preparation for practice match today - burning the bowling hand. Get better quickly please, any suggestions HELP,'' he wrote.

The former Test wicket record holder is back in Australia playing for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

Despite the injury, the Stars' hierarchy is confident Warne will be fit to play in the franchise's opening game against the Sydney Thunder on Saturday.
