WE WATCHED them carve up the competition in one of Australia's favourite cooking shows- and now you can judge them for yourself.

After winning the last season of My Kitchen Rules, Hervey Bay couple Dan and Steph Mulheron have opened up their restaurant.

Located at 449 Charlton Esplanade, Torquay, Eat at Dan and Steph's features a range of smart modern Australian cuisine.

Their cafe style-shop is in the same building as Badgers and Brown's Burgerie - a new project of Coast owner Julia Paussa.

Yesterday Eat and the burgerie were packed with enthusiastic diners, all keen to sample the foods that took Dan and Steph to MKR victory.

The popular couple doesn't want the Chronicle to release their menu yet - preferring diners come into the store and greet them.

Dan told the Chronicle he was excited about the restaurant's future.

Eat also caters for private dining events.

Bookings are essential for tables of more than eight.

To book email info@danandsteph.com.au, with your name, contact number, date and time and number of people.

The restaurant is open from 6am to 5pm daily and for more information, visit www.danandsteph.com.au.
