When choosing letters on live television goes wrong
A BRITISH game show host has been left red-faced after an unfortunately inappropriate word was spelled out in front of her.
Rachel Riley, a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, was presenting the show Countdown when contestant Chris Reeves inadvertently had her put the letters 'S', 'L', 'U' and 'T' up on the board.
I was just watching Countdown on @Channel4 & all of a sudden a slut appeared on it! Shocking scenes! pic.twitter.com/lBB4MUtseO

As Reeves and members of the audience dissolved into laughter, the fifth letter Z popped up to make the word a plural.
Riley tried to escape the awkward moment and asked host Nick Hewer to "speed this along". He responded with a bemused "brilliant".
Of course, the incident did not go unnoticed on social media, with hundreds reveling in the gaffe.
