Wildcats regroup versus Hawks

THE Perth Wildcats bounced back from last week's disappointing loss to Adelaide to defeat the Wollongong Hawks 87-71 at Challenge Stadium on Saturday night.

Point guard Brad Robbins was superb for Perth with 16 points, six assists and six steals as Perth recovered an early deficit.

Kevin Lisch top-scored with 17 points for the Wildcats, Luke Nevill added 13 in 12 minutes, while Shawn Redhage collected 12 points and seven rebounds.

Matt Knight pulled in 10 boards as Perth won the rebounding battle 43-24.

Robbins took the advice of fellow guard Lisch to take the open shots Wollongong gave him, and nailed two triples and 7-of-8 from the field.
