It is 1.30pm and the wind is starting to build.

In some parts of town it pushes against you, making it harder to walk.

The city is mainly deserted, but amazingly a few tourists are still wondering the streets, taking photos.

The CBD is calm, the luxury shops have prepared for the expected surge as much as they are able and we are all just waiting for Yasi to arrive.
