Woman attacked and robbed in shopping centre carpark

A WOMAN has been attacked and robbed while walking through a shopping centre carpark in Morayfield.

Police say around 12:15pm Friday a man approached the woman at the northern end of the shopping centre on William Berry Drive.

He assaulted her before stealing her purse and fleeing on foot.

The 26-year-old woman received minor injuries but did not need medical attention.

The man is described as approximately 185cm tall, of a slim build with a tanned complexion and was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have been travelling on William Berry Drive between 12:00pm and 1:00pm who saw anything suspicious or has dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
