Woman charged over stabbing of man in Berserker this morning

UPDATE 2.50PM: Rockhampton police have charged a 44-year-old woman with grievous bodily harm following investigations into an overnight disturbance at a Berserker home in which a man allegedly sustained a stab wound to the chest.

Police were called to the Pine Street address shortly before 5am where officers located a 38-year-old local man with a chest wound.

The man was transported to the Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment for a non-life threatening injury.

The woman is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow.

8.45AM: POLICE were called to a stabbing at an address in Pine St, Berserker at 5am this morning.

Authorities confirmed that a 30-year-old man sustained a stab wound to his chest.

He was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition and it's believed he will undergo surgery today.

A 40-year-old woman is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
