Woman dies at Sunshine Coast aquatic centre

UPDATE: A woman aged in her 40s has died as police try to ascertain the cause of her death at Kawana Aquatic Centre. 

7 News Sunshine Coast reports the woman was unable to be revived after being pulled from the water at the popular pool, this afternoon. 

BREAKING: A woman has been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after a near drowning.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the Kawana Aquatic Centre, Sportsmans Parade, about 1.44pm.

CPR was performed on the woman, reportedly aged in her 40s.

She was taken by ambulance to hospital.
