Woman found with missing finger after alleged attack

A WOMAN has had her finger severed during an altercation in Greenbank overnight. 

Police say around 9:30pm a group of people found a 37-year-old woman alone near Ison Road, Greenbank, with non-life threatening injuries to her face and leg, as well as a severed finger.

Police arrived and were able to find the finger nearby,

The woman was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A 42-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have both been charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful wounding, grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
