Woman jailed after pushing pram into path of car

A 21-YEAR-old woman who pushed a one-year-old boy in a pram into the path of a car was yesterday sentenced to time behind bars.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering a child by exposure in Rockhampton District Court after the incident at North Rockhampton on June 26 last year.

Rockhampton Child Protection and Investigation Unit investigated the incident. Judge Michael Burnett sentenced the woman to 12 months' imprisonment with a parole eligibility date of July 14.
