Woman trapped in elevator for 14 hours

A woman has been released from an elevator after becoming trapped on the ground floor for 14 hours in an Auckland storage facility.

Fire services were called to the scene just before 8am on Foundry Road in Silverdale and have now freed the woman.

It is believed a passer-by heard the woman yelling and called emergency services.
