Women hit the road for wares

THEY say beauty knows no bounds and so it was when car loads of Emerald lovelies headed to Springsure for a day of decadence.

The trip, organised by Kimba Kleinhans’ Total Beauty was designed to foster business links as well as introduce the women to some wonderful wares on offer outside of Emerald.

Decadence Gifts and Homewares’ Louisa Oppermann said the day was a rousing success.

“I’m a really good client of Kimba’s and we were talking about how slow retail is at the moment, and I think that’s everywhere,” Louisa said.

“She said you send clients to me, so how about I bring up a few car loads of ladies.

“I really wanted to let people know I was opening on Sundays from 10am to 4pm until Christmas, and it really is about businesses supporting businesses.”

The Emerald contingent all went into a draw to win beautiful Veramay luggage valued at $280.

Louisa offered discounts on the day and gift wrapped their purchases.

“We had a wonder-day, and even last Sunday when I opened up, there were probably about half a dozen Emerald people that had come to Springsure for a drive who were really impressed with the shop.”

They plan to do it all again on Sunday, December 12.
