Woods fires back at Gould over criticism of Blues
MORE fuel has been poured on the State of Origin fire with Blues forward Aaron Woods expressing his disappointment with former NSW coach Phil Gould.
Woods (pictured) said Gould's labelling of the team's set-up as a "dog's breakfast" was hard to take.
Penrith general manager Gould has gone as far as to say his club does not want any of its players exposed to the NSW environment.
"It sucks because he's (Gould) probably one of the best coaches NSW has had," Woods said.
"It's disappointing but he hasn't been in the rooms. He doesn't know what's going on."
Woods is adamant the Blues' culture does not need an overhaul.

"If we had won game two, I think it'd be a different tune we'd be hearing now," he said.
"People are just looking for nit-picky things to blow it all out of proportion.
"We didn't perform in game three. So it wasn't good enough."
