Inspirational workshop for women

WHETHER it is to learn more about business or to be inspired by Central Highlands women, come along to the Inspirational Women workshop.

The workshop will be held at the Mayfair Tavern on Tuesday starting from 8.30am until 4.30pm.

The workshop is in conjunction with the Central Highlands Development Corporation’s Inspirational Women project which has seen them highlight inspiring women in the local area through a booklet, photography competition and black-tie dinner.

The workshop will be conducted by manager of Women’s Markets for Westpac in Queensland, Tami Harriott.

Growing up in Delaware, USA, Tami majored in political science at university before starting a career in management in the banking, construction and health industries. Tami went on to study women’s issues at university and completed her MBA in international business.

She will focus on planning for the future, implementing recovery strategies, managing cash flow and adapting to changing environments.

Attendants will also hear from local inspirational women when they share they stories throughout the workshop.

International body builder Nickie Ware who runs a health and wellness centre in Emerald and Our Rainbow House’s Alison Ray, who has inspired others to work with her to establish an orphanage in Africa, will be among those speaking on the day.

The workshop is not exclusive, men are welcome to come along too.

Tickets are $50 per person which includes morning tea and lunch and are on sale until today.

Phone the CHDC on 4983 4386.
