Emerald author publishes third novel on Jack's Chase

LOCAL author Shane Esmond has taken the writing world by storm and published his third novel in as many years.

The fiction novel, Jack's Chase - The Forgotten Sunrise, is the third and final book in the Jack's Chase series.

Shane said he had always enjoyed writing and began penning Jack's Chase as a hobby.

"When I was writing the first book, I would have been happy for it to be in manuscript form, but I really enjoyed how it turned out," Shane said.

"And when the other two books were finished we did the same thing.

"It's nice to see them as a product."

Shane said he planned on writing only one novel, not a whole series, but he enjoyed watching his idea come to life.

The series follows the adventures of a young American journalist sent to Vietnam in 1967 as a war correspondent as he goes on a mission to find out more about a mysterious man in the platoon.

The first two books in the Jack's Chase series, Ten Thousand Miles from Home and Ghosts of the Past, are available at the Southside Corner Store in Emerald. The latest novel can be ordered from xlibris.com.au.
